Birth / Death Registration Officer
To register births, deaths and still births and taking notices of marriages and civil partnerships in the Borough and to register marriages and civil partnerships in the Borough at the Register Office, approved premises and registered buildings for worship in accordance with statute and detailed instructions of the Registrar General. To undertake preliminaries and solemnisation of Civil Marriages and Civil partnerships including weekends and bank holidays at the Register Office and approved premises in the Borough. Ensuring full compliance with the Marriage Act 1949 and 1994, providing services of the highest standards. Ability to organise and supervise large parties at any service delivery point or other venue as directed including events and activities being undertaken at as part of weekend working.
